Can’t have an action with both Action Parameter and Response Dialog

If you have an action with an action parameter (either slider or text dialog) and a response dialog, the response dialog is never shown.

The question is, when should the response dialog be shown? Since the action’s commands are sent each time the slider is adjusted, the dialog could be shown on top of the slider dialog, which doesn’t make sense. Maybe this is something that just really can’t be done.
