Spelling Quiz for Android

This is a basic app that uses the Android Text to Speech engine to say the words in a spelling test. The list is created by the “teacher”. Words can be graded individually as case sensitive or case-insensitive as desired. When the student takes the test, they press the “Say” button to hear the word and then they enter their guess. The teacher should test the quiz ahead of time specifically to ensure the keyboard does not offer any hints. Some of the more advanced auto-correcting, word suggesting, swiping, etc, keyboards do not follow the “no hints” settings that are enabled in this app. What that means is, your keyboard may offer hints which is probably not what you will want. Check the Android default keyboard for your phone. It will probably work fine. Quizzes are graded and saved for review.

Privacy. It’s simple. I don’t collect ANYTHING from your use of this app. Check the Android permissions for the app–NONE! No internet, no ads, no information collecting. I wrote this app because I needed it and it was pretty easy to do.

If you do have a problem with the app, please let me know. A lot of people use this app and I would like to keep it stable. So far, there haven’t been any bugs reported, so let’s hope it stays that way. So, if you do find a bug, or have a feature request, reply in the comments below. I promise to get back to you.
