Oh, I guess every blog and web page out there has the obligatory “About Me/Us/ProductName” page. Who am I to alter that tradition?
What gives me the right to… ummm… write… a technology blog? Well, for as long as I can remember, I have been lazy. It’s true. But I’m not generally lazy. No, I’m lazy about specific things. I hate watching commercials on tv. I hate having to turn off the lights in my house before I leave. I hate looking for a movie to put into a dvd player. I hate calculating the same thing over and over again. I hate having to visit multiple websites each day to see if they have added new content. All of these have specific technical solutions. And on top of that, I am also into home entertainment and photography. I love high def TV and Dolby 5.1 stereo. I have personal experience with all of these things, and if you share these interests, then you will find many of my posts interesting.
A little more personal stuff about me: I am retired from the Navy (I was a Lieutenant Commander–that’s a Major in the other services). I have a five-year old daughter (as of mid-2010) and have been married for 17 years. As I said, I am interested in all things tech, and here you are going to find articles on
- Home entertainment
- Home automation
- Math and statistics
- Space Program
Now, I sure don’t consider myself an expert on any of those things, especially the Space program, programming, and statistics. But I am very interested in them, and I work with statistics quite a lot, and I do a fair amount of programming, so you will see posts about things that I find interesting in those areas.
Sometimes the articles will border on trivia, but they will still be interesting and deal with technology.
Interested? Stick around. I’ll do my best to keep on pushing cool, fresh articles up here.
